Service Description

When you think of the word witch, what comes to mind? Broomsticks, cauldrons, the Sanderson Sisters? For centuries, witches have been touted as villainous and vile, as an oppressed group that was greatly feared rather than respected simply because they were misunderstood. This stereotype has been perpetuated not only in folklore and pop culture, but throughout history (Salem Witch Trials anyone?) At some point, the meaning of witch got so twisted and misinterpreted, it became synonymous with evil when in actuality, it is quite the opposite. Witches are creators, healers, and conduits between worlds and often work alongside nature. Witches don’t just understand their power, but believe wholeheartedly in it, knowing that such a force is derived from within. In a sense, all of us are witches. Join Danielle Coffyn and Maverick Malone as we explore the archetype of the witch, remove the unfavorable layers that surround it, and dive deep into its rich mythology and symbolism. Through this class, we will work to reclaim its true meaning, one of empowerment and acceptance, of magic and mysticism. We invite you to tap into the power of your inner witch and be inspired to create your own stories from a place of love and healing.
